at the beginning
First, we’ll have a 15 minute introductory phone conversation. Next, new patients need to fill out basic paperwork prior to starting. You’ll receive the documents via email and be directed to the online patient portal to fill in your information.
The length of each individual session is 45 minutes. Online sessions are available for existing clients. Typically sessions are weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly. The frequency of sessions depends upon your needs and goals. Every three months, an assessment will be prepared to review your progress.
Appointments can be scheduled in-person after session and by phone or email. Also, making appointments are quick and easy through the online patient portal. Click on the date and time that works best for you, and you’ll receive confirmation of the scheduled session. You may also reschedule through the portal.
While I do not accept insurance, you may still qualify for reimbursement from your insurance provider. For example, most PPO insurance plans will cover a percentage of these services out-of-network. Prior to scheduling, please contact your insurance company to find out about your coverage. This office supplies all necessary documents for your reimbursement, such as the required invoice needed to submit to your insurance company (e.g., CMS-1500 form, known as a Superbill).
Payment for each appointment is due at the time of session. It can be done easily via the online patient portal. There are discounted rates for undergraduate and graduate students. Based on availability, I may also offer a reduced fee on a limited basis for financial hardships (sliding scale). Additionally, you may use your Health Flex Spending Account for payment. The use of such an account will allow you to save money by using pre-tax dollars to pay for health-related services. For more information on fees, please visit this online profile.
at the end
The end of therapy typically brings a sense of growth, wellness, and accomplishment—but it is also different for everyone. When our sessions conclude, we’ll discuss an individualized plan for success that will help you maintain your positive momentum.
