WHAT TO EXPECT

INFORMATION FOR CLIENTS


at the beginning

First, we’ll begin with a brief 15-minute introductory phone call to get acquainted. Next, new clients will need to complete some basic paperwork before getting started. You’ll receive the necessary documents by email and be guided to the secure online client portal to fill out your information.


sessions

Each virtual video session lasts approximately 45–50 minutes. Sessions are typically scheduled on a weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly basis, depending on your individual needs and goals.


scheduling

Scheduling sessions is quick and easy through the online client portal—simply select the date and time that works best for you, and you’ll receive a confirmation of your appointment. You can also reschedule through the portal at any time. Alternatively, sessions can be scheduled via email or directly after your appointments.


insurance

This office currently accepts Aetna and several other insurance plans. To view accepted providers and verify your coverage, please visit Headway. If your insurance is not directly accepted, you may still be eligible for out-of-network reimbursement. Many PPO plans, for example, cover a portion of out-of-network mental health services. Before scheduling, it's recommended that you contact your insurance provider to confirm your benefits. For out-of-network clients, all necessary documentation—such as a detailed invoice or CMS-1500 form (commonly known as a Superbill)—will be provided to help you submit for reimbursement.


fees

Payment is due at the time of each session and can be made easily through the online client portal. You may also use a Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flexible Spending Account (FSA) to cover the cost of services. Using these accounts allows you to pay with pre-tax dollars, which can help reduce your overall healthcare expenses. For more information on fees, please visit my profile on Psychology Today.

The conclusion of therapy often marks a time of growth, healing, and personal accomplishment—though the process looks different for everyone. As we approach the end of our work together, we’ll create a personalized plan to help you maintain your progress and continue building on the positive changes you’ve made.
